    PRESCRIPTION OPTIONS
    Single vision lenses are needed if you require correction for one field of vision, either distance or near vision (reading). Vint & York’s lenses consist of premium quality polycarbonate Rx lenses. Protective coatings such as high quality anti–scratch and anti-reflective coating are included in all of our lenses. Polycarbonate lenses are strong and impact resistant, making them safe to wear.
    Bifocal lenses accommodate by correcting one's distance and near vision with one pair of lenses. The two fields of vision are typically separated by a line across the lens. Our Bi Focal lenses are available with many of our optical frames. We offer high index materials as well as a blended bi focal for those who prefer no sharp line. All of our lenses include UVA/UVB protective coatings as well as high quality anti-scratch and anti reflective coatings.
    Vint & York offers Progressive Lenses that are available with many of our optical frames. Progressive lenses are a multifocal lens to help correct three fields of vision with no line separating. They correct distance, intermediate as well as reading vision in one lens. We offer Digital Progressive lenses as well as high index material progressive lenses. All of our lenses include UVA/UVB protective coatings and high quality anti–scratch and anti-reflective coating.
    LENS OPTIONS
    If you want to receive frames with no Rx, you have two options. Optical frames will include anti-reflective polycarbonate lenses when you choose the option “Add clear non-prescription lenses”. The option “I plan on replacing demo lenses” are recommended if your optician or doctor plans on replacing the lenses. Those lenses would be a demo lens or plastic.
    A light responsive lens can also be called photochromatic lenses. These lenses darken when exposed to UV light such as the sun. They are available in polycarbonate and high index materials. When exposed to UV light the lenses will darken to your choice of color either brown or grey.

    Oversized yet refined

    I ordered these after doing the virtual try-on. The jade green frames with lenses came in, and at first I thought they’ll never work. The bridge seemed to be too narrow and rounded at the top and sat way too high. I was about to return them, but decided to try using a hair dryer. Bending out the bridge a bit after heating seemed to do the job. Now they fit great, and though oversized, proportionally fit me well. I’ll still have to go in to the optician to get them fit properly, but that goes for any new pair.

    These Glasses Now Define Me For My Kids

    I absolutely love these glasses. They're thick, but not heavy. By the end of the day, they leave red marks on my nose, but they never hurt. My kids now freak out if I change glasses or don't wear these. My son (age 6) says my glasses help me stand out in a group of moms and he can find me more easily. They help distract from eye bags and crows feet. Big accessories are so much more practical than makeup!
